Four companies. One mission. VHU organizes its teams the way the service does — under distinct banners that match our members' play, backgrounds, and goals.
Just as a military unit organizes its members into companies, VHU fields teams under four distinct company banners. Each represents a different pathway for our members to compete, serve, and stay connected to the game — and to each other.
Elite competitive roster
Our highest competitive tier. The Bad Company is made up of players with backgrounds in advanced high school, junior, and collegiate hockey, and represents VHU in top-flight tournaments and showcase events.
The workhorse roster
The backbone of VHU's competitive and charity schedule. The Bastard Company is built around intermediate to advanced players and fields teams across tournaments and events throughout the year.
Navy & Marine Corps roster
Born from our Army-vs-Navy charity series in the D.C. area, The Navy Company fields a roster drawn primarily from Navy and Marine Corps veterans for tournaments and charity games across the country.
USAH Warrior-sanctioned roster
Aligned with the USA Hockey Warrior hockey program, this roster is exclusively players who meet USAH Warrior eligibility and competes in sanctioned Warrior events.
